INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – IT/CTE TECHNICIAN II

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      High school diploma or GED.

2.     Advanced ability to understand network infrastructure, server-based technologies and their management.

3.     Advanced ability to understand curricular-based software/hardware in Grades 7-12, Career and Technical Education (CTE) learning environments, their installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and update procedures.

4.     Advanced ability to understand imaging and remote control procedures for Windows XP, MacOSX, and Linux operating systems.

5.     Demonstrated ability to work with multiple organizational functions in a K-12 environment.

6.     Effective oral and written communication skills.

7.     Advanced ability to work with other members of Technology Department, Site Technology Specialists, and Site Technology Representatives.

8.     Valid Arizona Drivers License.

9.     Acceptable driving record.

10.   Work independently, as a team leader and as a team member.

11.    Must be physically able to lift computing and printing equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

12.   Ability to flex hours and days.

13.   Ability to work in non-air conditioned environments.

14.   Prior knowledge and/or ability to learn budgeting, requisition, ordering and receiving processes.

REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

JOB GOAL:  To work with CTE and IT staff in the support of CTE, technology-based programs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Establish and maintain good rapport with staff, schools, departments, students, parents and vendors within the PVUSD community.

2.     Demonstrate technical, logistical, personnel and organizational skills.

3.     Organize, install and maintain various CTE software and hardware within PVUSD's technology infrastructure.

4.     Demonstrate strong understanding of procedures and demands in the information technology environment.

5.     Ability to work on behalf of CTE, using approved procedures under the direction of the IT Department.

6.     Flex schedule as determined by the Director of Information Technology.

7.     Other job related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Nine, ten or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
