HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN II – Benefits (previously Personnel Technician II – Benefits)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.                  High School Diploma or GED.

2.                  Familiarity with general human resource procedures.

3.                  Experience with Microsoft Office Products.

4.                  Effective communication skills.

GRADE: 19

REPORTS TO: Department Administration

SUPERVISES: N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.                  Establish and maintain a good rapport with students, employees and community

2.                  Maintenance of all district human resource records and data.

3.                  In-service with new employees regarding benefits.

4.                  Serve as back-up employee to Human Resource Technician III – Benefits.

5.                  Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Bargaining Agreements and District Human Resource policies and procedures.

6.                  Process Human Resource Action Forms.

7.                  Generate computer-based reports as required for district and state.

8.                  Knowledge of the district benefits, i.e., Insurance, FMA, Workmen’s Comp, etc.

9.                  Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Human Resource.
