HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN III - CERTIFIED & CLASSIFIED (previously Personnel Technician III (Certified/Classified)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Familiarity with general human resource procedures.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office
  4. Effective communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Previous office experience in an educational environment.

REPORTS TO: Department Administration

SUPERVISES:     Human resource Technicians I & II

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain a good rapport with employees and community.
  2. Maintenance of all district human resource records data.
  3. Review applicant documentation for employment.
  4. Knowledge of certification requirements necessary as to renewal of credentials.
  5. Preparation of employee contracts including addendums.
  6. Preparation and coordination of human resource actions for Governing Board Agenda.
  7. Communicate Human resource procedures to District staff as needed.
  8. General computer-based reports as required.
  9. Serve as a back-up employee to other Human resource Technicians.
  10. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all bargaining agreements and District procedures and policies.
  11. Maintain vacancy logs and job postings for all job openings in the district.
  12. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Human resource.

SKILL TESTS REQUIRED: Spelling, Mathematics, Filing, Typing and Human resource Department Computer Assessment Test.
