QUALIFICATIONS:
- High
School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge
of employee benefits.
- Experience
with Microsoft Office.
- Effective
communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous
office experience in an educational environment.
GRADE: 21
REPORTS TO: Department Administration
SUPERVISES: Human Resources
Technicians I & II
JOB GOAL:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and maintain a good rapport with
students, employees and community
- Maintain
a thorough knowledge of benefits in all bargaining agreements.
- Provide
relevant information as needed for employees regarding benefits.
- Assume
responsibility for all billing procedures to include, balancing of monthly
statements using accurate participation count.
- Maintain
and collect monthly premiums for all LOA/COBRA insurance accounts.
- Submit
needed census data to insurance companies under contract.
- Coordinate
open enrollment preparation between Paradise Valley Unified School
District No. 69 and insurance carriers.
- Process
and track all PVUSD retires with the Arizona State Retirement System for
monthly insurance reimbursement from district.
- Assist
new employees with benefits.
- Generate
computer-based reports, as needed.
- Acts as HIPPA privacy
officer.
- Other job-related
duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be
established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in
accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services
Personnel.

SKILL TESTS REQUIRED: Spelling, Mathematics, Filing, and Typing, and
Personnel Department Computer Assessment Test.
