GIFTED SERVICES DATA TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. College level business and/or secretarial coursework preferred
  3. Effective communication skills
  4. Knowledgeable in gifted education and gifted identification procedures
  5. advanced knowledge of Excel; e.g., pivot tables, building formulas
  6. Proficient in website development
  7. Reporting skills:  SASI, including building queries and SAIS reporting
  8. Strong secretarial skills
  9. Familiar with Uniform System Financial Reporting (USFR)
  10. Familiar with exporting and importing data among various software applications
  11. Experienced with integration of Microsoft Office Applications:  Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint (Keynote)

REPORTS TO: Gifted Coordinator

SUPERVISES: N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist in the adherence of District gifted services to state mandates and District policy.
  2. Integrate and track student achievement from various district departments and programs, e.g., Gifted identification, SELP (AZELA) scores, AIMS data, gifted service programs and models
  3. Track and provide information and data related to professional development in gifted education
  4. Communicate effectively with parents and school staff as related to Gifted Services
  5. Assist in the management of the Gifted Services budget.
  6. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
