FACILITIES & CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN III – (Formerly Maintenance Management Specialist)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. Possess strong communications skills.
  3. Working knowledge of maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Products..
  4. Working knowledge of work order software systems and applications..
  5. Working knowledge of current building maintenance practices.
  6. Ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience as a trainer/instructor in maintenance management systems installation and usage.
  2. Post secondary education in computer software and mainframe applications.
  3. Experience with facilities maintenance department employees and job functions.

GRADE: 23

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance & Operations.

SUPERVISES: Maintenance dispatcher.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with employees and community.
  2. Ensure proper and complete facilitation of all the entitlements of the Department's maintenance management system based work order and preventive maintenance programs.
  3. Maintain district preventative maintenance records.
  4. Prepare reports for the Maintenance, Facilities and Construction Departments.
  5. Develop periodic cost analysis reports on construction/maintenance projects.
  6. Troubleshoot work order problems.
  7. Develop and maintain the district's facilities data base, M&O Programs and PM schedules.
  8. Train and assist in the supervision of the Support Service Dispatcher.
  9. Communicates directly with service provider.
  10. Other job related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
