FACILITIES
& CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN III – (Formerly Maintenance Management Specialist)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High
School diploma or GED.
- Possess
strong communications skills.
- Working
knowledge of maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office
Products..
- Working
knowledge of work order software systems and applications..
- Working
knowledge of current building maintenance practices.
- Ability
to work independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience
as a trainer/instructor in maintenance management systems installation and
usage.
- Post
secondary education in computer software and mainframe applications.
- Experience
with facilities maintenance department employees and job functions.
GRADE: 23
REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance & Operations.
SUPERVISES: Maintenance dispatcher.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish
and maintain good rapport with employees and community.
- Ensure
proper and complete facilitation of all the entitlements of the
Department's maintenance management system based work order and preventive
maintenance programs.
- Maintain
district preventative maintenance records.
- Prepare
reports for the Maintenance, Facilities and Construction Departments.
- Develop
periodic cost analysis reports on construction/maintenance projects.
- Troubleshoot
work order problems.
- Develop
and maintain the district's facilities data base, M&O Programs and PM
schedules.
- Train
and assist in the supervision of the Support Service Dispatcher.
- Communicates
directly with service provider.
- Other
job related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year
to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in
accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support
Services Personnel.
