FACILITIES & CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN I– (Formerly Facilities And Construction Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Knowledge of skills terminology necessary to carry out assignments incorporating the various computer programs and projects designated to Facilities and Construction
  3. Experience with general office equipment.
  4. Effective communication skills

REPORTS TO: Director of  Operations and Maintenance

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with staff, community, vendors, contractors, architects and various governmental agencies.
  2. Provide direct back-up responsibilities for the Support Services Construction Technician III.
  3. Accurate  record keeping and processing, distributing and updating reports in a timely manner.
  4. Dispatches and routes calls to appropriate technical resource, as well as inputting work orders into the TMA work order system and follow-up with technical leads on status of work order requests.
  5. Inputs technical specifications as required by the bid process.
  6. Process and distributes purchase order requisitions and other areas of support as necessary.
  7. Coordinates and organizes necessary project information as needed.
  8. Other job related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
