& CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN I–
(Formerly Facilities And Construction Technician
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High
School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge
of skills terminology necessary to carry out assignments incorporating the
various computer programs and projects designated to Facilities and
Construction
- Experience
with general office equipment.
- Effective
communication skills

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations and Maintenance
SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB GOAL:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish
and maintain good rapport with staff, community, vendors, contractors,
architects and various governmental agencies.
- Provide
direct back-up responsibilities for the Support Services Construction
Technician III.
- Accurate record keeping and processing,
distributing and updating reports in a timely manner.
- Dispatches
and routes calls to appropriate technical resource, as well as inputting
work orders into the TMA work order system and follow-up with technical
leads on status of work order requests.
- Inputs
technical specifications as required by the bid process.
- Process
and distributes purchase order requisitions and other areas of support as
necessary.
- Coordinates
and organizes necessary project information as needed.
- Other
job related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year
to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in
accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support
Services Personnel.
