FACILITIES & CONSTRUCTION GROUNDSKEEPER III - WEED AND PEST CONTROL – (formerly Groundskeeper III/Weed and Pest Control Specialist)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Experience in grounds trades preferred.
3. Must possess a qualifying party license in General Pest, Weed, Turf and Ornamentals.
4. Valid driver's license.

GRADE: 19 

REPORTS TO: Lead Person 

SUPERVISES:

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Establish and maintain a good rapport with students, employees, and community members.
2. Considerable physical activity working outside in all weather conditions, including in the hot sun.
3. Operate small to medium size trucks.
4. Perform duties involving integrated weed and pest management.
5. Train Grounds staff in the proper use of weed/pest control chemicals.
6. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel
