FACILITIES & CONSTRUCTION DISPATCHER – (Formerly Facilities/Construction Dispatcher)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Experience working in an educational environment
  3. Effective communication skills
  4. Experience scheduling & monitoring remote field staff
  5. Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  6. Two years experience in a related position, with experience in maintenance technology and special systems with a large, multi-disciplined staff.

GRADE: 16

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance & Operations

SUPERVISES: NA

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with employees and community.
  2. Direct all incoming phone calls to appropriate technical resource.
  3. Log all work orders in system database.
  4. Track progress of work orders and made schedule changes as necessary.
  5. Coordinate work assignments for technicians and Leads.
  6. Maintain daily communication with field staff.
  7. Provide limited phone support to schools.
  8. Coordinate utilities, technicians, emergency agencies, and administration during emergencies.
  9. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
