ESL TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Experience in working with limited-English proficient students.
  3. Bilingual/Biliterate (Spanish)
  4. Adequate typing skills
  5. Good organizational skills

GRADE: 20

REPORTS TO: ESL Coordinator

SUPERVISES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist the district in identifying, screening, testing, and placement of limited-English proficient students.
  2. Maintain student, testing records.
  3. Other job related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
