ELL TESTING CLERK I

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED
  2. Knowledge of and experience with ELL students
  3. Knowledge of general office procedures
  4. Effective computer skills
  5. Effective communication skills
  6. Valid Arizona drivers license or ability to travel between sites.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bilingual

 

GRADE:  9

 

HOURS:  3 hours/day; established at building site by principal in coordination with the Director of Language Acquisition.

 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Language Acquisition

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Establish & maintain good rapport with students, staff & community.

2.     Coordinate the assessment of PHLOTE & ELL students.

3.     Administer the state language assessment & all other tests related to language proficiency.

4.     Score assessments, verify data & data entry.

5.     Complete documents related to the scoring and reporting of language proficiency test results.

6.     Ensure inventory & related testing materials are current & in stock at all times.

7.     Prepare, review and keep current student data files (eg. Create ELL folder for all ELL home language surveys) to ensure compliance with district, state & federal regulations.

8.     Attend required school, district meetings & AZELLA training.

9.     Provide clerical assistance school wide as needed.

10.  Provide duty aide assistance if necessary.

11.  Must be able to flex hours.

12.  Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
