DISTRIBUTION
TECHNICIAN – LEAD
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
High
School Diploma or GED
2.
Valid
Arizona drivers license and commercial drivers license
3.
Three
years experience in warehouse operations to include thorough knowledge of all
areas of order filling, inventory control, receiving, distribution, etc
4.
Experience
with AS400 purchasing and warehouse requisitioning system along with Microsoft
Office Products
5.
Effective
communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Experience
in the operation and instruction of material handling equipment:
a. forklift
b. delivery trucks
equipped with lift gates
c.
electric
pallet jacks
2.
General
knowledge of school district and its geographic boundaries.
GRADE: 19
REPORTS TO: Distribution Supervisor
SUPERVISES: Distribution
Technicians and oversees entire operation in absence of supervisor.
JOB GOAL: To support goals
of distribution center in providing quality service to using sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Establish
and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
2.
Provide
assistance in coordinating and directing staff in warehouse functions.
3.
Responsible
for training and orientation of new employees.
4.
Supervise
the proper use and operation of material handling equipment.
5.
Assist
in all aspects of warehouse operation including mail pick=up and distribution,
order filing, receiving, distribution, inventory management, vendor expediting,
etc.
6.
Develop
reports on operations where needed.
7.
Serve as
back up to Distribution Supervisor in all aspects of supervision and oversight
of Distribution Center.
8.
Provide
assistant to Distribution Supervisor where needed.
9.
Provide
assistance in evaluating employees.
10.
Other
job-related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to
be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance
with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services
Personnel.
