REPORTS
TO: Distribution Center Supervisor
JOB
GOAL: To support the operational objectives and
goals of the department.
ESSENTIONAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Establish
and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
2.
Transfer,
sort, distribute U.S. mail and inter department mail and knowledge of current
postal regulations and practices.
3.
Receive
merchandise from freight companies.
4.
Pull
orders and stage for delivery to sites.
5.
Receive,
check in, property control tag, and delivery warehouse orders and vendor orders
to appropriate locations.
6.
Perform
courier services as needed.
7.
Handle
confidential materials when necessary.
8.
Transfer
of district property form one location to another as needed for district
purposes.
9.
Operate
forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
10.
Locate
purchase orders and stock on warehouse computerized system.
11.
Stock
merchandise on shelves.
12.
Assist
with inventory of supplies and textbooks.
13.
Pick
up and disposal of damaged and surplus goods; assist in auction preparation.
14.
Assist
in the training of all new and summer employees.
15.
Operation
district vehicles as needed.
16.
Knowledge
of MSDS (Materials Safety Data Sheet).
17.
Other
job related duties as assigned.
TERMS
OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by
the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
