DISTRIBUTION OFFICE TECHNICIAN

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.              High School Diploma or GED

2.              Experience with Microsoft Office products

3.              Organization and filing skills

4.              Effective communication skills

 

GRADE:  14

 

REPORTS TO:  Distribution Supervisor

 

SUPERVISES:  COE Student

 

JOB GOAL:  To support the overall operations of the Distribution Center and provide helpful support to support to user sites.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.              Establish and maintain good rapport with students, staff, and community.

2.              Complete responsibilities of position with a minimum of supervisor.

3.              Provide an efficient office operation with organization/planning.

4.              Develop and maintain the Distribution Catalog.

5.              Perform light typing for reports and correspondence.

6.              Assist with sorting U.S. Postal Service mail, Courier mail.

7.              Coordinate communication between drivers and supervisor via paging and radio contact.

8.              Maintain Material Data Safety sheet files and keep updated with new products.

9.              Coordinate input for Distribution inventory system in the form of pick lists, requisitions, order posting, inventory stock receipts, returns, quantity/price adjustments, etc.

10.            Assist with annual fiscal year-end inventory.

11.            Assist with testing job candidates for various skill tests.

12.            Assist using sites with training on inventory requisitioning system.

13.            Supervise the COE student assigned to front office.

14.            Other job related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
