COMMUNITY EDUCAITON - PUBLISHING TECHNICIAN-CLERK (formerly Publishing Technician-Clerk – Community Education)

QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School Diploma or GED.
    2. Knowledge of publications and print procedures.
    3. Ability to operate office equipment.
    4. Experience in use of Macintosh computer and the IBM.
    5. Experience in use of PageMaker 5.0 or Desktop publishing and Aldus Freehand or Desk Paint.

GRADE: 17

REPORTS TO: Director of Community Education

SUPERVISES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with staff and community.
  2. Proofread and edit documents.
  3. Design forms, brochures, reports, publications, and newsletters using the Macintosh computer with PageMaker 5.0, Aldus Freehand, or Desk Paint.
  4. Schedule and coordinate reproduction of designs and layouts.
  5. Keep records of all District forms.
  6. Be flexible in work hours.
  7. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board. 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
