CE CHILDCARE ASSOCIATE VII (Previously Program Manager-Early Childhood/School Age)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, or related field.
  2. Three to five years verifiable experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
  3. Experience supervising staff.
  4. Ability to relate in constructive and supportive ways with all stakeholders in the child care programs.
  5. Demonstrated familiarity with Department of Health Services regulations governing childcare and national accreditation standards.
  6. Effective communication skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Arizona Teacher Certification preferred.

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Community Education.

 

SUPERVISES:  Appropriate program staff.

 

GRADE:  31

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, and community.
  2. Participate in the selection of CE Childcare Associate V  for the child care programs of PVUSD.
  3. Provide training and support to child care providers.
  4. Supervise and evaluate CE Childcare Associate V’s.
  5. Assure staff coverage of the child care sites.
  6. Maintain informative and supportive relationships with all stakeholders in the child care programs.
  7. Assist CE Childcare Associate V’s in achieving national accreditation of their sites.
  8. Organize and prepare for camps.
  9. Participate in all staff meetings and training.
  10. Annually complete a minimum of 12 hours of approved training per year.
  11. Other Job related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Nine, ten, or twelve month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
