BOOKSTORE MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Experience in Microsoft Office products
  3. Knowledge of general office procedures
  4. Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing procedures and supervisory responsibilities
  5. Ability to lift 50 lb.
  6. Effective communication skills

REPORTS TO: Administration

SUPERVISES: Volunteer Assistants, Student Assistants, Bookstore Accounting Clerk

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain a good rapport with students, employees and community.
  2. Orders, receives and processes all instructional materials as needed. 
  3. Maintains detailed student financial accounts including collecting student fees, processing registrations and withdrawals.
  4. Processes student-identification cards and maintains records on student lockers.
  5. Reconciles and maintains complete and accurate financial records for all student accounts in  accordance with district/state guidelines, subject to year end audit.
  6. Prepare inventory information; textbooks, supplies, etc.
  7. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
