ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT V

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.                    High School diploma or GED

2.                    Two years experience as Administrative Assistant III/IV or equivalent experience

3.                    Experience/knowledge of office management preferred

4.                    Demonstrated working knowledge in Microsoft Office Products

5.                    Worker knowledge of District AS400 and Intranet

6.                    General knowledge of Arizona State Statues as it pertains to education

7.                    General knowledge of district policy and procedures

8.                    Effective communication skills

REPORTS TO:  Directors of Paradise Valley Unified School District as defined

 

SUPERVISES:  n/a

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

1.                    Establish and maintain good rapport with employees and community.

2.                    Assist the Director involving a variety of administrative duties.

3.                    Furnish information and answers questions in situations requiring judgment and knowledge of policies and procedures, including federal, state and district related to Education.

4.                    Coordinates scheduling of various committee/conferences meeting, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, preparing and distributing minutes accordingly.  (This may include confidential information and presented to the Governing Board.)

5.                    Coordinates in-service activities with staff and teachers.

6.                    Coordinates, maintains and verifies accounts and projects through tracking and analyzing data.

7.                    Prepare reports and project materials for board approval.

8.                    Compiles, prepares and monitors Capital M&O and other related accounts.

9.                    Prepares purchase requests and monitors all budget expenditures of accounts assigned.

10.                 Develops and maintains files of correspondence, records/databases, reports and statistical documents.

11.                 Responsible for report preparation, correspondence documents for compliances issues and reviews.  May involve creating and reporting databases.

12.                 Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
