ACCOUNTING
CLERK/TYPIST - MIDDLE SCHOOL
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High
School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrate
general clerical experience.
- Knowledge
of Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge
of general office procedures.
- Effective
communication skills.
GRADE: 13
REPORTS TO: Building Administration
SUPERVISES:
JOB GOAL:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish
and maintain a good rapport with student, employees and community.
- Purchasing
duties to include typing requisitions, maintaining bookkeeping records,
and communication with vendors and District Purchasing Department.
- General
office tasks including: typing, answering telephone, answering routine
questions, greeting visitors, operation of office machines.
- Attendance
duties including: receiving attendance calls from parents, verifying
student absences, admitting students who arrive late, preparing lists of
homework assignments for absent students.
- Reconciles
and maintains complete and accurate financial records for all student
accounts in accordance with the district and state guidelines, subject to
year end audit.
- Other
job related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year
to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in
accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support
Services Personnel.
