ACCOUNTING CLERK/TYPIST - MIDDLE SCHOOL

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Demonstrate general clerical experience.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  4. Knowledge of general office procedures.
  5. Effective communication skills.

REPORTS TO: Building Administration

SUPERVISES:

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain a good rapport with student, employees and community.
  2. Purchasing duties to include typing requisitions, maintaining bookkeeping records, and communication with vendors and District Purchasing Department.
  3. General office tasks including: typing, answering telephone, answering routine questions, greeting visitors, operation of office machines.
  4. Attendance duties including: receiving attendance calls from parents, verifying student absences, admitting students who arrive late, preparing lists of homework assignments for absent students.
  5. Reconciles and maintains complete and accurate financial records for all student accounts in accordance with the district and state guidelines, subject to year end audit.
  6. Other job related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
