ACCOUNTING
CLERK – HIGH SCHOOL BOOKSTORE
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. General knowledge of accounting
3. Knowledge of general office procedures
4. Effective communication skills
GRADE: 13
REPORTS TO: Bookstore Manager and/or appropriate supervisor
SUPERVISES: Student aides, volunteers, and clerks.
JOB GOAL:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, and community.
2. Performs general bookkeeping duties involving school and/or district accounts.
3. Performs cashier duties including collection of fees, charges, etc.
4. Reconciles and maintains complete and accurate financial records for all student accounts in accordance with the district and state guidelines, subject to year end audit.
5. Orders and maintains inventory of resalable items.
6. Other job-related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
SKILL TESTS REQUIRED: Spelling, Mathematics, Filing, and Typing.
