ARRA TITLE I TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Experience with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
  3. Demonstrated experience in budgeting and accounting, preferably in a school system and/or coursework in financial planning and record keeping.
  4. Adept in mathematical/budgetary computation.
  5. Knowledge of federal rules, regulations, federal and state laws (such as NCLB).
  6. Effective communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two year degree

REPORTS TO:  Title Programs Coordinator, Director of Assessment

SUPERVISES:  N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with district personnel, principals, teachers, paraprofessionals and others.
  2. Gather and input electronically to the Arizona Department of Education, all ARRA Project applications for Title Programs and related funded programs.
  3. Maintain files for ARRA planning, budgeting, spending and reporting.
  4. Provide all necessary information for auditors as well as maintain a continuous internal audit of ARRA federal funds.
  5. Structure and manage budgets for each of the ARRA Title I School Allocations, ARRA School Improvement Grants and ARRA McKinney-Vento Homeless Grant.
  6. Process all tracking forms, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, personnel action forms, time sheets and consultant forms for all ARRA Grants
  7. Track salaries of all ARRA Title I Personnel.
  8. Develop, maintain and update ledgers on a monthly basis.
  9. Analyze monthly computer expenditure printouts and compare to ledgers for accuracy.
  10. Review expenditures and prepare and submit amendments electronically to the Arizona Department of Education.
  11. Prepare and submit reports to Arizona Department of Education as required.
  12. Provide an efficient office operation with organization/planning (i.e., supply orders/distribution, computer file backups, and task procedures). Develop and maintain files of correspondence, records/data bases, reports and statistics.
  13. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
