Our Character Education
program at Hidden Hills helps our students in many
ways. We believe that in order to help a student
strive to be their very best academically we should
help them learn to be good citizens, feel good about
themselves and understand how to be positive role models.
Our principal, teachers and other staff members work
together to educate each and every student on these
traits that will play an important role in their future
and in becoming well rounded individuals. Each
month, the principal reads a book to several classrooms
pertaining to that month’s trait. The students
have an opportunity to discuss the book and have open
discussion with the principal, teacher and other students
in the class. They are then encouraged by the
principal to share their knowledge with other students
on campus. Our traits are placed on the television
monitors in each classroom as a reminder to every student.
At the end of each month, the classroom teachers
choose up to 3 students to recognize who have exhibited
the qualities of that month’s trait. These
students receive an award and are asked to participate
in video announcements with the principal.
