Meet Your School Nurse
Elementary Schools
- Your school nurse helps you when you are sick or hurt. If you are too sick to stay in class, your teacher will send you to the school nurse.
- Your school nurse may check your ears and eyes and see how tall you are and how much you weigh.
- If you take medicine to stay healthy, you will be taking it in the nurse's office.
Middle/High Schools
- Your school nurse is a member of the school staff team.
- She is a great resource for your questions and concerns regarding your health (mental/physical).
- Her main job is to help you be at your healthiest so you can learn as much as possible at school.
- If you feel you need to see your school nurse, please ask your teacher for a pass.
- Remember, your school nurse is a fantastic resource. You can discuss your symptoms with her. She can provide care and send you to other professionals if needed.
