Philosophy
The staff of Greenway Middle School is committed to providing our students with the educational tools, which will enable them to be productive citizens. We embrace the principles of American democracy, the development of self-worth and an atmosphere of mutual respect. We have high expectations of our students and ourselves and we build our programs on success-oriented activities. To achieve these ends, professional competency, flexibility, the ability to meet individual needs, a sense of humor, and a strong sense of self are among the important attributes for the staff that works with middle school children. We call upon every staff member to be sensitive and truly understand the nature of the middle school child. As a school we believe an effective education must be a shared responsibility between the parent, child, and the school. We will work diligently to facilitate this relationship for the betterment of the child.
