Gifted Services

The Paradise Valley Unified School District offers a full range of gifted education services to students residing both inside and outside the district boundaries. Gifted services are provided at all 45 schools, including:

	K-3 cluster grouping and/or flex grouping
	3-6 (or 4-6) content replacement daily with a gifted specialist
	7-8 honors classes at the middle schools
	9-12 honors and advanced placement classes at all high schools

Additional special programs

• Self-contained gifted program, serving highly and profoundly gifted students grade K-6
  
  
• Uniquely gifted program serving twice-exceptional gifted students:
  • Grades K-6, located at North Ranch Elementary School
  • Grade 7-8, located at Sunrise Middle School
    
    
• International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program at Quail Run Elementary School (continuing in 7-8 at Vista Verde Middle School). Contact: Gerald Michels
  
  
• International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program at Vista Verde Middle School (continuing in 9-10 at North Canyon High School, and leading to the 11-12 IB program at North Canyon High School
  
  
• Non-verbal Core at Greenway Middle School
