Third grade students at Grayhawk have been busy studying the
classification of vertebrates. This unit culminates with our annual overnight Lake
Pleasant trip, where students experience hands-on activities and classes about animals in
an outdoor setting. We return to the New Year studying the original 13 Colonies of the United States. Students learn the principles and foundations that built our country. We have a 13 Colonies Feast and Celebration in January. Students know people that shaped our country, learn about each colony through a passport activity, and learn about life as a colonist.
