Your EMPS third grade teachers are all very experienced in preparing
third graders to be successful on the AIMS. We do, however,
request your help in order to make your child more successful.
Everything we do in second semester is critical to doing well, so
please have your child in class and on time every day, including their
before and after school classes. Homework assignments are for
additional practice of material we have worked on in class.
Please see that your child finishes and turns in homework daily,
including their MAC-Ro Math booklet. Encourage your child to read
a few minutes daily in order to reach their monthly Accelerated Reader
goal. Make sure your child knows you want him or her to do well
in third grade and on the AIMS test!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES – PV WEBSITE
Interested in volunteering? Would you like to know how you could
help? We need parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to
participate in your child’s education. You can make a big
difference!
We now have a ‘Volunteer Opportunities’ link
on the PV Website. The ‘Volunteer Opportunities’ link is on the
right hand side of the homepage at the bottom of the ‘Quick Links’
column. Each school in the district is listed with volunteer
needs that have been provided by the individual school. The PVUSD
volunteer policies are also provided under the same heading.

Los maestros de tercer grado de Echo Mountain tienen
mucha experiencia en preparar a sus alumnos para tener éxito en
el examen AIMS. No obstante, queremos solicitar la ayuda de los padres
para ayudar a sus hijos a tener más éxito. Todo lo
que hacemos en el segundo semestre es fundamental y por esta
razón les pedimos que sus hijos vengan a clase todos los
días y lleguen puntualmente, incluso a sus clases antes y
después del horario regular. Las tareas constituyen un
material de práctica adicional sobre lo que hemos aprendido en
clase; por favor asegúrense de que sus hijos terminen las tareas
y las entreguen cada día a su maestro o maestra, incluso su
folleto MAC-Ro Math. Anímenles a que lean cada día,
para lograr su meta mensual de lectura Accelerated Reader.
¡Háganles saber que ustedes quieren que les vaya
bien en el tercer grado y en el examen AIMS!

¿Está interesado en hacer trabajo voluntario?
¿Le gustaría saber cómo puede ayudar? Necesitamos
que los padres, abuelos, tías y tíos participen en la
educación de los niños. ¡Con su ayuda podemos
lograr una gran diferencia!
En el sitio Web del distrito escolar tenemos
ahora un enlace sobre trabajo voluntario ‘Volunteer Opportunities’;
este enlace se encuentra al lado derecho de la página
electrónica, al final de la columna ‘Quick
Links’. Cada escuela en el distrito se encuentra en
la lista, donde se indican las necesidades de trabajo voluntario que
tiene cada plantel individual. Bajo el mismo encabezamiento se
encuentran las normas para las personas que prestan servicio voluntario
en el distrito escolar Paradise Valley.
