I would like to welcome you to Desert Trails, where daily we strive for Success Each Day~Success Each Child. We are a learning community dedicated in offering a challenging curriculum, a love for a lifetime of learning, and creating a solid foundation for a bright future for all of our students.

We give tours of our wonderful school should you ever be interested in stopping by. We are proud of all we do and all we offer our students. Through our partnership with PTO we have family events throughout the year establishing a small community feel in a big city.

Born in Charles City, Iowa, and raised in California in a family of five, Kris graduated from OTTAWA University with a Bachelor in Elementary Education. For over fifteen years, her teaching experience included grades 5, 2, 1, and Pre-K . Kris completed her Master's degree in Administrative Leadership through NAU. In addition to her elementary classroom experience, Mrs. Lee currently teaches future educators through NAU.

Mrs. Lee served as an assistant principal at both Desert Trails and Pinnacle Peak Elementary during the 2005-06 school year. In 2006-07 she was appointed by the Governing Board to the position of interim principal at Desert Trails. Since then Mrs. Lee has served as the principal of Desert Trails.

Mrs. Lee is excited to serve as principal and daily looks forward to working with students, teachers, and parents to make a positive impact on student achievement at Desert Trails.
