School Council:

The DSES School Council is a group of individuals representing the parents, teachers, staff and community of Desert Shadows Elementary.  The Council provides opportunity for local school improvement by council members teaming with the principal to address meaningful issues including but not limited to; student achievement, student safety, and DSES & PVUSD long range plans.  The council meets several times throughout the school year and is an open meeting welcoming all who would like to attend.

The School Council must include the following members:

  • school principal
  • teachers (2)
  • support staff (1)
  • parents of student's enrolled in the school (2)
  • community representatives who are not the
  • parent of child in school (1)

The mission of DSES is to lead students to individual excellence by creating a positive, collaborative and professional community.
