- District Cross Country Festival

- District Field Days:
During the week of March 3-6, the PVUSD Elementary Physical Education Department hosted four district-level field days. Each field day was comprised of up to seven schools, each with approximately 30 students on a team, competing in five different events. The district-level competitors were the top athletes from each individual school. These premier athletes competed in the 75 meter dash, 600 meter and 4x100 meter relay, high jump and long jump. The events were hosted on the North Canyon and Horizon High School fields. All district field days were a display of friendly competition, excellent athletic achievement and outstanding sportsmanship.
District field days are the spring signature event for the Elementary Physical Education program in conjunction with the signature fall event — the cross country festival. The collaborative effort of the K-12 physical education department is an example of our district’s goal to foster and promote life-time fitness and exercise and reduce the effects of childhood obesity
