P.E. in the PVUSD Mission Statement

flag footballThe Arizona Academic Standards of Physical Education is an integral part of the total educational process and provides movement-centered and knowledge-based activities for students. The focus of the Paradise Valley School District physical education program is to offer activities in an environment, which meets the physical, emotional, social and intellectual, needs of all students regardless of their ability level. A well-balanced program should offer students the opportunity to develop an acceptable level of health and fitness, a broad spectrum of physical skills, and the knowledge necessary to use the skills and maintain fitness for a lifetime of active participation. In addition to the essential skills in the psychomotor domain, the following global objectives should be integrated throughout the program. These objectives are generally met through instruction, which is offered in a sensitive understanding and caring manner to all students.
