THE WASHINGTON WORKSHOPS FOUNDATION

SUMMER 2008

THE CONGRESSIONAL SEMINAR FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

These 6-day seminars are designed for high school students with credible academic standing, high standards of character and integrity, and an interest in government and politics. Residence will be on the campus of Marymount University.

The seminars will study the following topics: Congress, the Executive and Judiciary branches, holding a model Congress, the international community, an academic overview of governmental affairs, college orientation, and individual topics for student debate.

THE WASHINGTON INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

A small and talented group of students will be chosen to participate in an internship experience on Capital Hill. While not required, it is recommended that students attend a Congressional Seminar before applying for the internship experience.
