summer opportunities NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INSTITUTE SUMMER 2008 THEATRE ARTS PROGRAM The National High School Institute at Northwestern University offers a Theatre Arts Summer Program for high school juniors who rank in or near the top 30% of their class and have a serious interest in theatre. Core classes include Acting, Voice/Movement, Performance Theory, Text Analysis, Production Crew and are required for all program participants. In addition, students may choose from several elective workshops in specialized areas. A final production will be presented to the public during the last week of the program. For students interested in Musical Theatre, the program will be followed by a 2-week additional session focusing on Musical Theatre training. Students must participate in the 5-week program to attend the Musical Theatre extension.
