summer opportunities PHOENIX ZOO TEEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SUMMER 2008 ZOOTEEN PROGRAM The Phoenix Zoo has a ZooTeen Program for teens between the ages of 13 and 17 that want to volunteer some of their time on weekends during the school year. The program runs from September through May and teens are asked to volunteer at least 40 hours of their time during the season. ZooTeens participate in games, crafts, and activities with the public and sometimes present small animals or animal artifacts. There are also opportunities for career exploration and professional skill development for volunteers.
