summer opportunities CAMP CIVITAN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SUMMER 2008 SUMMER VOLUNTEER PROGRAM The Camp Civitan facility in Williams, AZ is a camp for all ages of people with developmental disabilities. During the program, the campers work on skills including peer socialization, educational development, life skills, physical development, motor skills, teamwork, food and nutrition, and having fun. The camp is looking for teen volunteers who are between the ages of 14 and 17 to spend at least one week at the camp. The camp is open for 12 weeks during the summer. Room, board, and any fees associated with fieldtrips are taken care of for the volunteers by the Civitan Foundation. Candidates for the volunteer positions should possess leadership and communication skills as well as a sensitivity to people with special needs.
