summer opportunities SAN FRANCISCO ART INSTITUTE SUMMER 2008 YOUNG ARTIST SUMMER PROGRAM The Young Artist Program (YAP) at the San Francisco Art Institute is a 2-week summer program designed for students who are 13-15 years of age. The program encourages creative thinking and self-expression in a supportive studio environment. Classes will introduce a variety of techniques and concepts in drawing, painting, and photography. Program Dates: June 16 - July 3 Application Deadline: rolling after 4/1/2008 PRE-COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAM The Pre-College Program is a 5-week summer arts program for students who are 16-18 years of age. It is a great introduction to college life in one of the oldest and most distinguished art colleges in the United States. The program gives students the opportunity to develop technical skills, critical thinking, and the freedom to explore their artistic self and earn up to five college credits. Course offerings include animation, drawing, film, painting, and photography.
