summer opportunities MIDWESTERN UNIVERSITY - GLENDALE, AZ SUMMER 2008 HEALTH CAREERS INSTITUTE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS This program offers in-depth health career information and hands-on labs for current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are at least 16 years of age. This program is offered at no cost to students. The program is modeled after Midwestern's professional curriculum and includes workshops on a variety of topics, presentations by top Valley healthcare professionals, a behind-the-scenes fieldtrip to Arrowhead hospital, and a Mock Emergency Response with the Glendale Fire Department. Career paths covered by the program are: Osteopathic Medicine, Physician Assistant Studies, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Biomedical Sciences, Perfusion/Cardiovascular Science, Podiatric Medicine, Nurse Anesthesia, Bioethics, Clinical Psyhology, Dental Medicine, and Optometry.
