Keynote Presentations

Students are working on their writing skills by putting together a Keynote Slideshow. Keynote is Apple's version of Powerpoint and although Copper Canyon teaches three different ways to make a slideshow, the first is using Keynote, finding public domain or copyright free pictures and graphics to include. We then will be altering the format to Quicktime to share across the internet.

This is a somewhat lengthy process for the kids as they only meet 40 minutes a week. They first were asked to create their storyboard to give them a map to follow when they enter the lab and work on content. Next, phase will be photos, then transitions, animations, and finally correction and formatting to Quicktime. Their last little piece will be publication right here.

I would expect the end of October as the launch of their work. Hope you will check back. They are thrilled to being able to place their work on the Internet!

Note to Parents and Guardians: Please check with your child or call Mrs. Wipprecht to check what extra security has taken place to insure your child's information will remain safe.
