AVID Tutors

Tutors are available in the AVID elective class two days a week where they facilitate student access to rigorous curriculum.

As students from colleges and universities, tutors also serve as role models. Tutors are trained at the district level to provide academic support. They receive six- to twelve- hours of instructional training in writing, inquiry, collaboration and reading for comprehension.
