A note from the teacher:
As the year progresses, we are exploring many new ways to understand what we read. Our newest computer-assisted program, Read About, has allowed us to discover some new strategies that can be used in all subject areas.
I am excited by the progress many of the students are making and the way they are using their new-found reading strategies to be successful in school.

Our weekly schedule:
Monday: Read About with individual instruction
Tuesday: Guided group reading lesson
Wednesday: Read About with individual instruction
Thursday: Guided group reading lesson
Friday: Unfinished business/review day

Accelerated Reader:
Each week students are assigned 1 hour of reading in an Accelerated Reader Book. They are required to take tests on the books they read at school on the computer.
