Students will be called up to voteó2 voting booths are available

        Student will show ID if they have one
        Student will sign their signature next to their name
        Student will receive his/her ballot
        Student will vote at the voting booth
        Student will place ballot in ballot box

Review the words and phrases heard during the elections in ìElection Speakî

Wednesday, Nov 5th and Thursday, Nov 6th

Objective:  Evaluate the results of the election

Homework:  Complete the election map if not finished in class
                Review notes for test which will be on Friday, Nov. 7th and
Monday, Nov. 8th

Warm Up:        Who won the most electoral votes in the election?
Who won the most popular votes in the election?
Answer in a complete sentence.

Discuss the results of the election
Color in the map for the states each candidate won.  Create a key.

Create flash cards for the vocabulary words

Create questions to review for the test on Friday and Monday.


Friday, Nov. 7th and Monday, Nov. 10th

Test on the vocabulary and the terms we discussed in our election unit.  Test will be matching, multiple choice and an essay.


Tuesday, Nov. 11th

No School



Wednesday, Nov 12 and Thursday, Nov 13th

Objective:  To honor our veterans

Homework:  Finish your final draft for your letter or poem to send to our soldiers.

Warm Up:  Who do you know who has served in a war for our country?
                Answer in a complete sentence.

Show the plaque the students received last year for writing the letters to the soldiers.

Read the article on the pilot who served in WWII.

Watch the video made by a 15 year old girl honoring our soldiers who are serving now.

Create a bubble map for all the reasons we are thankful for our soldiers. Include a bubble about yourself explaining why you think it is important to have our country protected.

Write a rough draft of a letter thanking the soldiers for their service to our country.  Include a paragraph about yourself explaining why you think it is important to have our country protected.

Correct your spelling and grammar.

After okayed, write the final draft of your letter.


Friday, Nov. 14 and Monday, Nov. 17th

Turn in letter for the soldiers.
