Objective:  Today students will share their poems about citizenship

                What are ways people show they are patriotic?
                Answer in a complete sentence

Students will turn in Week 3 Road to Success ( All points need to be highlighted and a total written on in the line provided)  The students will write a sentence with at least 10 words describing how last week went.

Students will share their warm ups and record their points on their Road to Success
        
Poems will be shared in round robin teams

Individual poems due today will be shared in class and turned in with the grading rubric

Teams will create poems of their favorite patriotic historical figure
        
        Poems will describe what this historical figure accomplished

Objective:  The students will review what was going on in the colonies before the American Revolution

Vocabulary:  Casualties

Warm Up:        Sept 4th, 2008
                Looking at page 120, list the colonial products of the 1700s.
                Answer in a complete sentence.

Students will take Cornell notes on the colonial economies illustrated in graphs on pages 120-123.

The students will read a passage from Benjamin Franklin’s autobiography.

From this, the students will write a paragraph describing Franklin’s recommendations in their own words.  The students will interpret whether this advice would be helpful today.
